Recovery / Downtime After MACS Facelift

After undergoing facial surgery, your face will naturally require special care during the healing process. Pain is generally tolerable and can be easily managed with painkillers. Most patients return to their normal lives about a week after the surgery, using a special facial garment to help and support the face/neck area. Swelling and some bruising of the face is normal. A facial compression garment will help minimize these issues. Scars may be visible shortly after surgery but will gradually fade. Your skin will be fully healed after six weeks, and at that point, you can start moisturizing and massaging the scars using a cream recommended by your surgeon.

You will need to stay in the hospital after the surgery.
